Eye contact with the city: sound installation with moving image
‘Eye contact with the city’ is a sound installation with video projection, produced in the occasion of Bengaluru Artist Residency 2010, supported by India Foundation for the Arts.

The installation is an investigation in slowness in the context of the urban environment of Bangalore, and based on gathered audiovisual experiences in the three months of residency. These experiences are largely dominated by imagery of growth in the city while auditory perception is intruded by constant sound events from urban infrastructural development within an anticipation of indolence quite typical of Bangalore.
Slowness is an attitude that involves a keen sense of time and history; found sounds that have been retrieved from the collected used-tapes at flea market and from personal archives, provide with an insight into the auditory memory of the city and samples of sonic layer for the work; the close slow-motion video projected within the installation space has been a methodology to accentuate listening by means of audiovisual augmentation and media convergence.
The work has received an Honorary Mention in the Digital Music/Sound Art category of PRIX Ars Electronica 2011 and has been released with Touch Music as an .m4v video for iPhone/iPod/iPad.

Artist's talk and presentation at Studio 21
A comprehensive collection of works has been presented at the programme 'Artist's talk' at Studio 21, Center for International Modern Art in Kolkata.
The featured works include eralier pieces like Passage, and series of songcycles from Elements 2008 (Windsong and Watersong), as well as newer sketches from the project in progress 'Arithmetic of Distance'.
The evening of presentation ends with a performance of 'Landscape in Metamorphoses'.

Media Archival Project: A Landscape in Metamorphoses
'Tumbani' is a locale in India that is increasingly relocates itself in memory by decaying as an intricate landscape and transforming rapidly into a homogenized industrial area. An ongoing initiative (2012-) will reconstruct the locale with it's actual, surreal and hyperreal narratives by different media, augmenting the audio and visual in an organic interpenetration of media objects like sound recording, video and still images collected from the locale in a pilot archival project 'A Landscape in Metamorphoses' as extensive fieldwork between January 2009 - February 2010, supported and funded by Prince Claus Fund, Amsterdam. The collection of material has been developing an archive to produce a large-scale site-specific documentary installation. The sound/video installation intends to formulate a discourse on the mediation of real/remembered/imagined perception of place in new media art.

The four corners: sound installation at Religare Arts Gallery
4-channel sound installation ‘The Four Corners’ define territories of a certain geometric shape, which, in its exhibition, is used as the margins of sonic space covered by shifting urban narratives through ambient sound. The site-specific installation-work has been exhibited in the ‘Nature of The City’ group show at Religare Arts Gallery, New Delhi, 16th December 2008 - 12th January 2009.

San Lorenzo: sound installation at Palazzo Medici Riccardi, Florence
San Lorenzo is a collaborative inter-media project with Fondazione Studio Marangoni, Florence, for installation with still images and sound composition. The Project is about the personalized ways to intervene, mediate and represent the busiest urban area ‘San Lorenzo’ in downtown Florence, which holds a rich multilayered audiovisual ambience. The images have been looped on a number of video‐screens, and the sound composition reproduces the essential locative atmosphere in a multi‐speaker set up within the installation space.
The installation was held for a month at Palazzo Medici Riccardi in Florence, May 2008.
