San Lorenzo: sound installation at Palazzo Medici Riccardi, Florence

San Lorenzo is a collaborative inter-media project with Fondazione Studio Marangoni, Florence, for installation with still images and sound composition. The Project is about the personalized ways to intervene, mediate and represent the busiest urban area ‘San Lorenzo’ in downtown Florence, which holds a rich multilayered audiovisual ambience. The images have been looped on a number of videoscreens, and the sound composition reproduces the essential locative atmosphere in a multispeaker set up within the installation space.

The installation was held for a month at Palazzo Medici Riccardi in Florence, May 2008.
